You will help lead a landmark Power Transmission Line project in NSW.This role requires FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) or DIDO (Drive In, Drive Out) on a 20:8 roster, with Living Away from Home Allowance (LAHA) and site uplift included as part of a generous salary package.
As a member of a larger team, you will report to the Program Director and collaborate closely with the Project Manager and frontline leaders.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide practical construction expertise, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.Some of the key responsibilities include:Assess risks in construction to ensure safe execution and compliance with environmental and quality standards.Coordinate and manage construction engineering activities to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and quality-driven project delivery.Lead by example and consistently promote key aspects of Zero Harm when working with operational teams.Collaborate with operations to form active and effective business improvement teams that eliminate waste and minimise operational costs.Take the lead in managing subcontractors while advising on commercial matters and performance.ABOUT YOUA Bachelor of Engineering or similar qualification and a current or eligible membership with Engineers Australia is preferred.Exposure to HV Power Transmission or Substation projects is ideal.Good communication skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders up and downstream.OUR OFFERA highly supportive, team-orientated organisation that is well-resourced.Competitive remuneration with generous LAHA and site uplift from a significant ASX-listed company.There are structured career paths with the opportunity to work in different areas of the Utilities business, supported by a robust Commercial Operating Model.A suite of health and wellness benefits and initiatives, including EAP, Beyond Blue and health insurance discounts.Access to Perks@Downer, which offers discounts and savings on various products, including retail items, travel deals, and entertainment options.ABOUT USDowner is a leading infrastructure group that connects industries and communities with vital infrastructure.
