Our success is built on innovation, customer advocacy, and our strategic partnership with Microsoft.About the role:We are seeking a highly skilled Azure/ Data Platform Project Manager to lead and deliver data-driven projects using Microsoft Azure technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, a deep understanding of Azure data services, and the ability to manage clients' cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives effectively.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Execution:Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.Ensure alignment with business objectives and stakeholders' requirements.Monitor project progress and address risks or delays effectively.Data Platform Management:Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of Azure data solutions.Manage Azure resources such as Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.Ensure data platform performance, scalability, and security.Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to define project requirements.Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.Risk and Compliance Management:Identify and mitigate project risks.Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations.Manage project audits and ensure adherence to quality standards.Team Leadership:Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication.Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet project objectives.Qualifications and Skills:5+ years of project management experience in IT or data-focused projects.Proven expertise with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).Experience managing end-to-end data platform projects, including migrations and integrations.Proficiency in Azure DevOps and related project management tools.Familiarity with data modelling, ETL processes, and cloud architecture.Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.Exceptional leadership and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.Note:This position is based in Sydney, Australia.The candidate must have full working rights in Australia to be eligible for this role.Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further interviews.
