Job Description - Senior Claims Specialist, Marine (78006375D20241121) Senior Claims Specialist, Marine Sydney, NSW
This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Marine portfolio and collaborating with key stakeholders, driving value and benefit, working closely with your manager, fellow claims handlers, practice leaders, and product underwriters to achieve the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients by resolving and settling claims proactively.
What will your essential responsibilities include? Proactively manage Marine Claims in accordance with AXA XL's Claim Handling Principles.Using strong technical skills, handle complex and challenging claims within authority level and specialization.As a claim file owner, collaborate with Claims Product Manager and Practice Leaders on large and complex losses to achieve optimum file outcomes for the client and AXA XL.Proactively manage expenses through thoughtful expense management and claims best practices.Active participant in Quality Review Process.Assist Underwriters with policy review and drafting, participate in external marketing and business development activities.Coordinate and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest level of customer service and transparency.Produce internal reporting in support of best practices and reserving guidelines.Effectively manage, track, and report on portfolio performance.Coach less experienced colleagues and be a role model in best practices.You will report to the Claims Manager, Specialty.
We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Extensive claims or similar professional experience essential.Strong communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation, and influencing skills.Collaborative approach: Develop and maintain productive working relationships with insured, brokers, claim handlers, underwriters, and legal counsel.Results Oriented: Approach tasks proactively and anticipate needs.Continuous Improvement Focused: Willing to ask questions and explore new ideas.Client-service Oriented: Focused on value at all points in the claims experience.Strong ethics: Handle responsibilities with integrity and the highest standards of professionalism.AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
