About The Role Whitehaven Coal has an opportunity for a Maintenance Planning & Reliability Superintendent at our Open Cut operations.
The Superintendent will provide effective leadership to the Planning & Scheduling and Reliability Engineering teams, ensuring performance targets are achieved in a timely and safe manner.
What You'll Do Manage the Maintenance Planning team ensuring work flow processes are maintained enabling mining equipment and processing plants to run at optimal levels.
Ensure maintenance work management systems and reliability programs prioritize safety through effective planning.
Provide leadership through coaching and mentoring including management of the Graduate program driving a positive workplace culture.
Ensure collection and maintenance of data with a focus on production loss (downtime data).
Ensure outages and shutdowns are run on time to planned costs.
What You'll Bring Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a reliability and maintenance discipline.
Significant experience in heavy industries or mineral processing environments.
Well-developed analytical skills with proven ability to think and act strategically.
Live local to the area (Gunnedah, NSW) or willingness to relocate (assistance provided).
