Job Description: Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in either Brisbane or Melbourne.
In this position, you will provide technical expertise and design management for wind, solar, substation, and battery projects through the project development, construction, and operation and maintenance phases.
If you possess a strong background in HV projects with a key focus on Primary design, this is your opportunity to join an international leader in Renewable energy to work on utility-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities: Assisting with assessments and development of new storage, solar, and wind projects.
Manage the delivery and technical outcome for the design of primary electricity systems, including HV substations, in correlation with the designated company and industry standards.
Review and approval of documentation issued by external design contractors/consultants, ensuring they align with company standards and specifications.
Provide onsite technical compliance and support to HV substation testing and commissioning.
Support projects in the construction phase, including responses to requests for information and solving design implementation issues.
Provide technical advice on primary, secondary, and SCADA system changes as required.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Minimum 10 years' experience in consulting or design management positions.
Primary design experience in renewable generation projects, focusing on utility-scale wind, solar, and storage.
Strong background in technical report and scope writing skills.
Experience in an interdisciplinary design and construction management team.
Chartered engineer or RPEQ is an advantage.
Secondary System design knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
What's in it for you: Base salary between $140,000 - $170,000 super.
