Senior Estimator

NES Fircroft has partnered with a Tier 1 Oil & Gas client who have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator. As Senior Estimator, you will be supporting the cost estimating team to deliver market competitive cost estimates aligned with Business objectives, from Front-End conceptual studies to project FID, to support both Greenfield and Brownfield projects across the organization. The role spans all cost estimating activities including value optimization, cost database management, benchmarking, data and risk analysis.
Our client is offering a desirable contract role with an initial scope of 12 months, offered on a day rate of $1100/day inc super. This opportunity is based in Brisbane CBD, on a Monday to Friday work week, with WFH flexibility available.
Whats the role?
Work independently to produce multi discipline cost estimates across all project phasesStrong understanding of cost estimating principles in line with estimating procedures / guidelines and best industry practicesReview and assure third-party prepared cost estimatesAnalyse actual costs vs approved budget estimatePerform internal and external benchmarking to improve and optimize costsPresent cost estimates to key stakeholders for review and approvalParticipate in assurance reviews and technical challenge sessions to ensure consistent application of estimating standardsSupport gathering of actual cost data from completed projects and other activities for use in creation and regular update of a central estimating cost databaseReview, improve and maintain existing cost estimating model to ensure high efficiency of estimating deliveryAdvanced user of Excel and other industry standard Estimating toolsAbility to lead and/or facilitate project risk analysis workshops utilizing @Risk or similar software would be an advantage
What we need from you?Engineering Degree and/or equivalent experience.Considerable Industry experience in an estimation position. Mining and/or General Oil & Gas LNG experience. CSG experiences are an advantage.Fully versed with Cost Estimating principles, techniques, and industry standard tools.Proficiency with the use of standard office software such as Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.Excellent communications skills (including report writing and presentation) are essential.This role requires the full right to work in Australia.If you want to have a confidential discussion, please forward through your CV to Cameron Anderson at NES Fircroft to ******.
