We're looking for a talented Senior Civil Estimator to join our pre-contracts team in a full-time capacity. The role is flexible, offering a hybrid working style – with working from home arrangements, as well as working from client offices when required.Reporting to our Principal Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering First Principle Estimates for a diverse range of clients, including mining infrastructure, transport infrastructure, earthworks, utilities including water, contract mining, sewer, drainage, and pump stations.This opportunity is ideal for a mid-level to Senior Civil Estimator looking to diversify their experience and gain exposure to a variety of projects and scopes.ABOUT YOUMinimum 8 years' civil estimating experience with onsite project experience in the construction industryTertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying or similar is preferred but not essentialKnowledge of construction processes, operations, and methodologiesExtensive experience in recognising and understanding implications in programsAdvanced time management skills supporting your ability to meet tight deadlinesWell-developed communication skills to assist in client meetings and to manage internal reviews and approvalsAbility to deliver competitive estimates from first principles to project start upA proven background managing successful tenders up to $100 millionStrong commercial acumenWHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGAnalyse and prepare tender estimates, budget estimates and other cost related proposals in a timely manner working closely with client leaders, key stakeholders, and internal senior managementPrepare and present clear and accurate information for tender reviewsDevelop innovative tender solutions through the knowledge of the latest design and/or construction techniques to deliver high quality outcomesAttend tender meetings, and contribute to the development and execution of the tender strategyCreate and maintain detailed libraries, templates, and up-to-date knowledge of civil constructionGather, update, and review historical cost dataYOUR QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management or related field of studyExperience estimating projects or relevant engineering experienceYOUR SOFTWARE PROFICIENCYExperience with CATsIntermediate Asta Power Project; orWHY JOIN JC CIVIL PROJECTSGreat opportunity to expand your project portfolio with a diverse range of projects including mining infrastructure, transport infrastructure, utilities, and airports – just to name a fewEngage with varied clientele to broaden your professional network – interacting with tier 1 clients, asset owners, head contractors as well as subcontractorsStay ahead of industry best practices with access to the latest software, libraries as well as learning from our team through regular 'lunch and learns'Work alongside our tight-knit team – a group of passionate professionals who not only excel in their field but also embrace our regular social eventsGain exposure to projects outside of your home state and discipline, expanding your project portfolio horizonsUnlock your potential with opportunities beyond estimation, fostering continued professional growth and development.Join JC Civil Projects, where innovation meets collaboration.
