L&D Contracting specializes in Basements, Bulk Excavation, Shoring, Detailed Excavation, Remediation, Demolition, Stormwater Drainage, Roads & Carparks.About the Role:We are looking for an experienced, well spoken, and dynamic estimator to prepare, submit, and secure tenders for medium to large civil packages ranging between 1M– 100M for large tier one projects. You will be reporting directly to the managing directors, general manager, contracts manager, and other senior management to look over projects from tender to contract completion, as well as providing guidance and advice regarding the project to onsite management to ensure a successful project delivery.Highly beneficial to have significant on-site construction experience and in-depth understanding of civil projects (i.e; earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, demolition, and basements).Key Responsibilities:Forming a relationship with subcontractors and clients.Identify strategic partnerships with suppliers.Prepare competitive tenders that align with required scopes and financial company objectives.Ensure all quality, safety, and environmental requirements are accommodated within the tender submission.Ensure all industrial relation requirements are accommodated within tender submissions.Compile and prepare a project commencement package for successful tenders to ensure supervisor and onsite personnel are aware of all relevant agreements and discussions that have occurred during tender stages.Ensuring that estimates are executed in accordance with the client specifications and Company's procedures.About You:The successful candidate will possess:4-5 years onsite experience and a minimum of 2 years estimating experience in similar civil projects.A vast understanding of the development and execution of contracts.A Tertiary qualification in either engineering, construction management, estimating, or similar.Proficient in planning, organizing and working to timelines.Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc).Ability to analyze project drawings in detail, as well as insight into modeling, 3D mapping, and drafting software.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.A competitive remuneration package and career progression opportunity will be on offer to the committed individual who can successfully fulfill the requirements of this challenging, demanding, and rewarding role.
