What's the role on offer?
Based onsite at the Brisbane Airport, this role involves managing all third-party Ground Handlers, Cargo, and Service Providers while leading the Alliance Ground Operations team.
You'll ensure safety, compliance, cost control, and operational performance are met across the network.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead and manage a fully outsourced Ground Handling model, building strong relationships with third-party suppliers.
Negotiate commercial terms and assist in developing Ground Handling Agreements and SLAs.
Develop, maintain, and deliver Ground Operations policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Coordinate and oversee Operational GSE provisioning and service provider management.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings through process enhancements and system upgrades.
Ensure adherence to safety, security, and regulatory compliance across all Ground Operations activities.
Who we are looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in Ground Operations and a proven track record of driving change and continuous improvement.
You will be skilled in managing complex operations and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
Your qualifications and experience will include:
A degree-level education or equivalent business experience.
Extensive expertise in Ground Operations, Ground Handling, and Cargo Operations.
Proven experience leading and implementing significant change in a Ground Operations environment.
Strong contract negotiation skills and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., MOS139).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
Highly organised, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
