Carpentry & Cabinet Making (Trades & Services)About the roleAs a Lead Carpenter at DJ Built Homes, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing high-quality carpentry and construction work on construction projects based in and around Brisbane. This full-time role is integral to ensuring the successful delivery of residential builds to our clients.What you'll be doingLead and direct a team of carpenters and trades to complete construction projects on time and to the highest quality standardsOversee the planning, layout, and installation of structural and finish carpentry components, including framing, flooring, trim, and cabinetryEnsure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company policiesProvide on-site supervision and guidance to ensure efficient and effective workflowCollaborate with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to coordinate construction activitiesMaintain accurate records and documentation related to project progress, materials, and timelinesIdentify and resolve any construction issues or challenges that ariseMentor and train junior carpenters to develop their skills and capabilitiesWhat we're looking forExtensive experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years in a lead or supervisory roleDemonstrated expertise in all aspects of residential carpentry, including framing and finishingStrong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standardsExcellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skillsAbility to read and interpret drawings and specificationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teamsCommitment to safety and a proven track record of working safely on construction sitesWhat we offerCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusesComprehensive health and retirement benefitsOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunity to work on exciting and diverse construction projectsAbout usDJ Built Homes is a leading construction company specialising in high-quality residential builds in the Brisbane area.
