Carpentry & Cabinet Making (Trades & Services)Full timeAll-rounder required for a commercial building maintenance role.An opportunity is available with an established and leading company specialising in primarily Body Corporate and Commercial Building Maintenance. We are currently looking for a driven individual to take up a Lead Carpenter role. This role will suit someone with a carpentry/building background looking to move forward in their career.The Role:Commercial and Body Corporate maintenanceLead a team of carpenters to efficiently execute all tasks necessary for project completion, ensuring quality and timelinessOperate as a lead technician utilising the task-based operation system, managing daily assignments from the Project ManagerGeneral carpentry, make safe repairs, minor roofing, fencing, retaining walls, paving etc.Address and resolve issues that arise during projects, providing guidance and instructions to team members.Effectively communicate with the Production Manager, acting as their "eyes and ears" on the ground.Maintain adherence to project plans and specifications, ensuring all work meets quality standards.Demonstrate the ability to address challenges independently without requiring direction from superiors.Skills and Experience:Cert III in CarpentryBackground in building/carpentryGood skills across various aspects of building maintenanceExcellent leadership and communication skills.The ability to work with other tradespeopleCurrent driver's licence (Manual)You will also be required to interact with clients, body corporates and real estate agents, so you must be well presented.This full-time role is located in Sumner but services the wider Brisbane area. A vehicle and fuel card will be provided to you. The hourly rate is competitive and will be dependent on experience.
