We're looking for a producer who loves mornings to gather, prepare, write, edit and produce material for News Breakfast and digital platforms, and contribute story and guest ideas.
It is important to note that this role works across a 24-hour roster.
The Job Create program elements like overlays, RVOs, teases, openers, and packages Write concise, accurate copy tailored for breakfast TV audience Verify content for factual and style accuracy Stay informed on current events via diverse media sources Contribute editorial ideas, discussion points, and guest suggestions Support News Breakfast across social media and digital platforms Develop stories representing Australia's cultural and demographic diversity Position Description: 504495 PRODUCER NEWS BREAKFAST.pdf About You You don't have to love coffee to work on News Breakfast, but it helps
Working alongside a supportive and dedicated team, you will have a developing news sense, and an interest in the conversational tone of breakfast television.
You will have a wide knowledge base that covers national and international news, as well as sport, finance and popular culture.
You don't need extensive experience working in a broadcast or digital newsroom, but it would be beneficial.
You'll have:  Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proactively improve and generate innovative content Comply with Editorial Policies and Style Guides Strong communication skills and teamwork Experienced in TV and digital news editing Passionate about creating authentic, diverse Australian content What we can offer you: 15.4% ABC Nominated Super.
