As a result, we are looking to expand our mining and oil and gas focused Telecommunications Engineering team in our Brisbane office.About the roleThis position is crucial to our organisation and engineering team, and we are looking for a Project Engineer with significant experience in designing, delivering, and maintaining private telecommunications networks in the resource sector. If you've been working on Private Networks, we encourage you to apply but be prepared to have your engineering skills challenged as you design fit-for-purpose systems.This position is vital, and you may be engaged across several cutting-edge projects with multiple key clients. Your role will include site travel as required.Key Responsibilities will include:Extensive experience with significant hands-on involvement on a wide range of telecommunications solutions including their architecture and infrastructure design.Working as part of a multidisciplined engineering team to deliver complex communications projects.Preparation and review of technical design documentation.Design, manage, and maintain standard documentation and specifications.Design, develop, and implement technical solutions to address network issues.Preparation of acceptance testing plans, procedures, and test scripts.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve serious service incidents, including hardware & software faults.Engage in Root Cause Analysis for incidents and LTE Core and OAM network issues.Communicate with key stakeholders and identify solutions for new services additions.Work collaboratively with the Principal Consultant in carrying out contract negotiations regarding service delivery.Lead FAT, SAT, and commissioning of implemented solutions.Skills and experience:Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems, such as microwave links, fibre optics, and radio systems.Ability to manage project lifecycles, including planning, execution, and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure.Understanding of HSE practices and their application in telecommunications projects within hazardous environments.Experience in oil and gas facilities, gas processing facilities, or pipelines, is highly desirable.Strong troubleshooting skills to address issues in complex telecommunications networks under high-pressure conditions.Effective communication to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including operations, IT, and external contractors.Qualifications and certifications:Bachelor degree or above in Telecommunications or Electronic engineering or the equivalent in experience.Minimum 5 years' experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical communication and operational technologies.How to apply:If you have the qualities and experience highlighted above to fulfil this role, we encourage you to register your interest by clicking 'Apply Now' on this Ad.Please include your CV and Covering Letter.If you have any queries regarding this position, please contact HR direct via email on ******.
