pro-rata (Full Time or 0.8) + 6 weeks AL.Full-time (38 hours a week) OR 0.8 positionAbout the roleThis exciting full-time position based in Darwin, NT offers you the opportunity to join the Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) as a Policy Coordinator.
In this strategic role, you will play a key part in supporting the development and implementation of policies that drive the growth and sustainability of the Indigenous carbon industry across Australia.You will be a team player and an excellent communicator with experience in policy writing and providing detailed policy advice.Applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advice to ICIN staff, directors and members on key policy developments impacting on the Indigenous carbon industry.Provide Secretariat support to the ICIN Policy Working Group, including notetaking and organisation.Facilitate meetings with ICIN members on key policy issues as they arise and provide a brief at the end of the meeting.Collate agreed key points and write draft policy position statements informed by ICIN members and the Technical Advisor.Draft policy submissions on key issues as they arise, for consideration by all ICIN members.Work with the Communications Manager to distribute key policy updates to members.Support advocacy by ICIN members on key policy issues impacting the Indigenous carbon industry.Report back key achievements and key challenges to partners and members as required.Build relationships with ICIN member organisations and government policy representatives.Build capacity of Indigenous Carbon Industry spokespersons through providing policy briefings and advocacy training as well as supporting career pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in carbon policy development.What we offerAt ICIN, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that enables our employees to thrive.

Flexible work hours and working from home arrangements are available by negotiation.Some interstate travel will be required.Remuneration: Your salary shall be based pro-rata on a 0.8 or full-time equivalent annual salary of $80,000 - $110,000 depending on your skills and experience.Annual leave is 6 weeks per annum on a full-time basis.Superannuation and Personal leave entitlements also provided in line with National Employment Standards.This position reports to the CEO, ICIN.About usThe Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal-owned charitable organisation that supports the Indigenous carbon industry in Australia.
