Multi-Combination (Mc) Truck Driver - Local / Linehaul

Hawkins Transport QLD are on the lookout for a Local & Casual Linehaul MC (Multi-Combination) Truck Drivers located at our Brisbane Depot.
If you have a passion for driving, a commitment to service, and are looking for your next career move, we want to hear from you Our company is dedicated to transporting both General and Refrigerated freight from Brisbane into The Gulf of Carpentaria, Northern Territory & Cape York including various communities on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities Include:Operating our fleet of Kenworth prime moversPerforming Pickup & Unloading tasks, including handling gates, curtains, and straps, Freezer Pads, Pogo bars.Setting of proper refrigerator temperatures and modes on trailers.Delivery of freight at various locationsCompleting Local Dog runs for linehaul drivers, also bringing back trailers from both locations to the depot.Maintaining cleanliness and safety of your truck and trailers while keeping the workshop manager up to date with any maintenance requirements.Responsible for the upkeep of driver and company documents during & after each trip, including daily run sheets and any linehaul runs you may be included in.Ideal Candidates Will Have:MC License with a proven competent and compliant driving historySingle / B Double with Road Train Experience highly desirableWell-presented with good communication and customer service skillsAvailability and flexibility to work to assigned rostersUnderstanding of General & Refrigerated freight operationsAbility to work independently in various environmentsMechanical understanding of trailers and truck desirableKnowledge of Chain of Responsibility and Road Transport LegislationForklift License highly desirableWhile experience is preferred, we are willing to provide training for the right candidates.
