About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll have the chance to work in a variety of primary schools across Leeds.
These schools are based centrally to the Leeds area and you will be working with a variety of students on a whole class and 1-1 basis.
Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 and group support for children, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their goals.
Assist in implementing tailored learning and behaviour plans for pupils with a range of needs.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
Support pupils' emotional and social development, encouraging independence and confidence.
Adapt to new settings quickly, bringing energy and a proactive approach to each school you work in.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in SEN : Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in autism and other complex needs.
Flexibility and Adaptability : A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a variety of school environments.
Strong Communication Skills : Confidence in working closely with staff, pupils, and parents to ensure cohesive support.
Compassion and Patience : A nurturing approach to working with children who may face additional challenges.
