A recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, education, and research, Children's Health Queensland delivers a full range of clinical services, tertiary level care, and health promotion programs.
The Senior Medical Officer will be part of a unique model to:
Provide high-level specialist paediatric services within a tertiary setting to ensure the provision of high quality, safe, and family-centred care within CHQ HHS.
Provide specialist paediatric services to an integrated, rural, multidisciplinary, paediatric service, thus providing coordinated care and a seamless patient journey from rural community to tertiary base and back.
Provide regular outreach to South West HHS facilities on a 3-week cycle for 3 days each visit.
Consultation days will occur in Roma with visits to St George or Cunnamulla/Charleville on a regular basis.
Provide Telehealth clinics to South West HHS patients weekly on the weeks in Brisbane.
Be responsible for case management and care of complex patients from South West HHS catchment, both remotely and when visiting Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) and other Brisbane facilities.
Provide inpatient care at QCH and participate in education and training both at QCH and at Roma and related communities.
Address other requirements as they occur for South West HHS and CHQ patients as directed by line manager.
