Woods & Co are working with a leading boutique construction firm seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join their team and help drive operational excellence as well as provide strategic leadership.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business with the potential to take on more senior responsibilities, including a future role as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

What do you do?
Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and systems to ensure efficient project delivery.
Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to define and execute business strategies and operational goals.
Monitor and improve project performance, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Mentor and lead a team of project managers, site supervisors, and operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Oversee procurement, resources, and logistics to ensure projects are adequately staffed and equipped.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Contribute to strategic business decisions, with the potential to take on COO responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
What you need: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operations management within the construction industry (experience in boutique or mid-sized firms is highly regarded).
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience leading teams across multiple projects.
Advanced knowledge of project management tools, budgeting, and procurement.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
A proactive approach to operational improvement, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and cost control.
