About The Role
This newly created position reporting to the Workplace Relations & Systems Manager is responsible for providing support for Council's HR systems and working closely with the Workforce Planning, Design & Reporting Specialist in relation to regular and ad hoc reporting and analytics.
The position also leads a team of three providing HR Help Desk advice and administration.
A rare opportunity to put your system and data analytics skills to work while managing a small team.
Examples of what you'll be doing include:
Coaching and mentoring your team on system related tasks and core HR transactions, including actioning HR Help Desk requests Designing and developing reports and dashboards that add value, using data from Council's HR applications Assisting with data cleansing and bulk uploads as part of maintaining data integrity Identifying process improvement opportunities, troubleshooting and problem solving issues reported by end users relating to HR applications Testing as part of regular upgrades and updates to HR applications, in conjunction with Council's IT team Liaising with Council's IT team in relation to vendor escalation for issues requiring technical support Making minor configuration changes to HR applications where permitted and document configuration changes Provide training and user guides on updates and changes to HR applications Assisting with other tasks and projects as required as part of the broader People, Culture & Performance group About You
The successful candidate must have at least 2 years experience working in HR or IT that includes providing support and/or administering HR or payroll applications, plus demonstrated experience working with data in Excel and creating and editing reports and dashboards.
You will also bring:
Certificate level qualifications or higher in business, IT, HR or a related area Advanced Excel skills A strong customer service focus Experience leading a small team is also a requirement of this role, however consideration may be given to candidates who meet all other requirements yet don't have leadership experience, as a development opportunity.
Council's HRIS is Oracle HCM, therefore applicants with Oracle experience or who have comparable experience with other first tier HR systems (such as Workday, SAP, Success Factors etc) will have a distinct advantage.
What's On Offer
Depending on qualifications and experience we are offering a base salary from $117,832 to $129,758 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
