Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeThe CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia's highest-grade copper mine.The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia's deepest underground mines.Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.About the Role:Are you an engineering professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, planning, construction, and commissioning of major projects. In this role, you will manage individual projects or sections of larger projects, ensuring that safety, quality, and technical standards are consistently met.As a Project Engineer you will:Manage day-to-day engineering tasks for assigned projects.Ensure project designs comply with site standards and policies.Monitor project progress and report on key performance metrics.Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.Contribute to cost estimates, resource allocation, and project documentation.Oversee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Participate in risk assessments and implement safe work practices.Collaborate with third-party engineering personnel, ensuring timely resolution of RFIs and TQs.Manage project documentation and maintain version control throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure smooth project transitions through operational readiness processes.Key Qualifications:Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related discipline).Certification in Project Management (desirable).2+ years of experience in project engineering or a related field, with fixed plant experience.Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of project management principles.Familiarity with project scheduling and engineering software tools.Competence in construction and commissioning processes.Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective project collaboration.Conditions:Ideally this will be a residentially based position, however we are open to both drive-in-drive-out or fly-in-fly-out commute options.
