The Broome Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Hub will provide a range of integrated and specialist services in one location, prioritising ease of access for victim-survivors and families in seeking help, assistance, and support. The Hub's soft access point supports earlier intervention, but the service is also responsive to client need at all points of victim-survivor experience through at-risk, crisis, re-establishment, and recovery.
Family Outreach Service
is the Hub's Backbone Organisation which is co-led by Anglicare WA and supported by Alliance Partners in Broome, Derby and Bidyadanga.
This role is a key leadership position within the Hub team and provides oversight to the coordination and delivery of clinical services. You will ensure that the Hub delivers high quality services to victim-survivors of FDV, their families, friends and the community. You will hold primary responsibility for providing clinical leadership and direction to the Hub team, ensuring that day-to-day clinical work is carried out to effectively meet the needs of victim-survivors and oversee the quality of clinical service delivery and outcomes for victims.
You will oversee and support high-quality pathways for victim-survivors and their families within and through the Hub service, including screening, intake and assessment, safety planning, case management, clinical reviews, file reviews and caseload review processes. You will deliver therapeutic and education programs around FDV to meet community and Hub needs, which will include Safe and Together training. You will maintain a focus on exceptional service through the provision of reflective supervision to counselling staff. You will also work in the community to raise the profile of the Hub, building relationships with relevant stakeholders and contributing expertise to service design for FDV programs in the region.
This is a rare opportunity to bring practice expertise and leadership to a new service in the Kimberley, working in partnership to have real and lasting impact in the community. This is a full-time position for an initial period of 5 years, based in Broome.
What you will bring
Tertiary level qualification in relevant discipline including psychology, social work, counselling, or equivalent
Senior practitioner with specialist experience in FDV
Knowledge of relevant legislation
Ability to be innovative, proactive and to work autonomously
Leadership skills and demonstrated experience providing clinical and reflective supervision
Proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
Highly developed cultural competency which will enable you to easily engage and build trust with people from diverse backgrounds, in particular Aboriginal communities.
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year and a WA Drivers License.
Impact and benefits
Sharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact to the lives of families and communities across the Kimberley.
In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive and welcoming community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.
