Michael Page are partnering exclusively with Intertek, a UK-listed multinational organisation in their search for a Senior Tax Accountant.

The position of Senior Tax Accountant is a hands-on and challenging role with scope to create positive change within the finance team and broader organisation.
This is a permanent opportunity reporting directly to the Regional Tax Manager and involves assistance with meeting tax compliance obligations in Australia and foreign jurisdictions and supporting the central country finance team based in Perth.
The Group operates across Australia, New-Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and wider APAC.

Job Description
Supporting the Regional Tax Manager with executing the management of direct and indirect tax compliance obligations, including corporate tax returns, tax effect accounting, GST/BAS submissions, payroll tax and other employment taxes.
Supporting Regional Tax Manager with London Head Office Tax Projects.
Providing advice on a variety of tax matters in a number of different jurisdictions (Global and APAC reach).
The Successful Applicant
Completed professional certification in accounting, CA or CPA.
At least 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax within a Big 4 firm, mid-tier firm or tax division of a large corporate.
Strong Australian taxation knowledge and tax research skills.
Work autonomously but also collaboratively within a larger team.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to build relationships.
Demonstrate initiative and ability to problem solve and create solutions.
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Have a positive attitude.

MODE OF WORK:
Flexible - Perth office based in Maddington (2 days per week from the office with 3 days per week working from home).
