In the role of Senior HR Advisor (Employee Relations), you will provide strategic, tactical and operational advice and coaching to managers, supervisors, local HR teams and decision makers on a diverse range of contemporary ER issues, including human resources policy matters, organisational change, discipline, performance management, employee grievances, independent medical examinations and industrial relations.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Provide strategic, tactical and operational advice and coaching to managers, supervisors, local HR teams and decision makers on a diverse range of contemporary ER issues, including human resources policy matters, organisational change, discipline, performance management, employee grievances, independent medical examinations and industrial relations.Represent the department before external tribunals including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.Prepare high level correspondence including submissions, briefing notes, ministerial responses and information papers relating to ER issues.Deliver industrial relations consultancy services, especially in relation to the interpretation and application of relevant certified agreements, awards, legislation and directives.Represent the department in the negotiation of enterprise bargaining agreements and coordinate related activities, including liaison with central agencies and consultation with staff.Represent the department in liaison with key stakeholders, including central agencies, and establish and maintain effective working relationships across the department and with other government agencies, to encourage partnerships, sharing of concepts and information and IR initiatives.Coordinate the review of policies and procedures within the TMR HR policy framework to support the efficient, effective and responsible management of human resources across the department, and develop new policies and procedures that drive and support the strategic direction of the department.Engage in negotiations with employee organisations in relation to specific ER and human resource issues.
Mediate and liaise with employee organisations on day-to-day issues that affect the department and its employees.Applications to remain current for 12 months. Job Ad Reference: QLD/594944/24
