As aSenior Water Resources Engineer, you will work closely with the Intermediate and Principal Engineers and report into the Manager for Water and Environment, VIC.Based out of the Melbourne CBD or Notting Hill office (with a mixture of WFH day), you will join a close-knit team of industry leading professionals, where its clear staff are truly valued and an open, innovative, and supportive culture is encouraged.
Here you will take a leading role with clients and projects and enjoy a variety of project work by supporting a diverse range of clients across several sectors, including, local and state authorities, mining partners and 's leading property development companies.Key Responsibilities:Carry out the assessment of water related impacts - hydrologic, flooding and water quality associated with infrastructure, mining, and development projectsUndertake conceptual and detailed engineering design and investigations of civil and stormwater infrastructure, including, earthworks, drainage, basins dams, etc.Execute the preparation and review of engineering reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and cost estimatesUndertake project management and client management duties for projects and complete report writing and presentation needs as projects requireHave an ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information to clients in a simplified mannerDevelop relationships with potential clients and improve and maintain existing client relationshipsSupport and/or lead business development activities, including client liaison and proposal preparationProvide input into business planning and strategyRequired Skills & ExperienceA degree in civil / environmental engineering or relevant sciencesA minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience (previous consultancy experience is highly desirable)Good technical knowledge while delivering pragmatic and practical outcomesProven project delivery capability across stormwater and floodingHigh level of proficiency using industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software packages including TUFLOW and WBNM/RORB/RAFTS (MUSIC would be advantageous but not necessary)Experience using ArcGIS/MapInfo/QGIS (12D and CAD software would be advantageous but not necessary)Demonstrated report writing and verbal communication skills with the self-confidence to express technical argumentsHigh level industry awareness and engagementA strong desire to expand on your existing skills and advance your careerWhat's on offerA full-time, permanent position with an attractive salary packageOpportunities for future shareholding and company ownershipCreative salary packaging – extra annual leave, salary sacrificing, education / development allowancesWork / life balance, flexible hours, and work arrangementsAccess to an expansive client portfolio across a variety of sectorsWork on a variety of interesting and challenging projects both here in SEQ and nationallyAn opportunity to collaborate with some of the most respected and experienced engineers, planners, and designers in AustraliaTo be a part of a forward-thinking and innovative organisation that focuses on technology and digital transformationOngoing training and development opportunities - Customised professional development plans to accelerate your growth, learning and career pathwayHow to apply?Does this sound like you?
