Program Manager - City Construction Permanent, full-timeLET'S EXPLORE THE JOB We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to join our Construction team within this newly created position.
You will join our City Construction team which manages the implementation of civil projects such as road reconstruction and rehabilitation, stormwater drainage, pathways, foreshore stabilisation, and land rehabilitation throughout the city.Leading a team of construction professionals, you will be responsible for the programming and efficient delivery of the works allocated each year, ensuring close collaboration with key stakeholders associated with project delivery.
You will undertake project construction cost estimates and the administration and continuous review of the estimating system utilised by City Works.Council is heavily focused on the safety of its workers and is constantly looking for better ways of working to deliver cost and quality benefits.
This role is key to the identification and implementation of efficient work programming and resource planning practices, including the implementation of emerging/new technologies and environmentally beneficial practices involving the appropriate management of waste materials and substituting virgin construction materials with suitable recycled products.
LET'S HEAR ABOUT YOU You hold a degree qualification and/or extensive experience in a relevant or complimentary discipline such as civil construction, civil engineering, civil project management, or construction management.Extensive experience in the delivery management of civil construction programs will see you stand out from the crowd.Your previous work history will display experience in the administration of estimating systems and the continuous review and update of unit rates.You will have a passion for developing and maintaining trusting and cooperative relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers.Previously working within the civil construction industry will display your extensive experience in the management of contracts, including material supplies, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.As a senior leader, your forward-thinking, open-minded approach will ensure you can work within established procedures while challenging the "norms," and be productive and efficient in your decisions.Displaying a positive attitude, you are a fast learner and welcome any challenge that comes your way.Hold a minimum of a current Class C driver's licence.LET'S REVEAL THE PERKSCompetitive salary starting from $123,917 to $144,013 with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range in line with skills and experience.Industry-leading 12 percent superannuation.35-hour working week with a nine-day fortnight.Work in a high-performing team.Full private leaseback vehicle.Click here to view more perksCHOOSE THE LAKE MAC WAYAs a regional council with a global focus, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where next-generation thinking can thrive.We know it is our people that will shape the future of our city.
