Brisbane Busways is currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Services Technician that will be based in Murarrie, Brisbane to join our established maintenance and repair team, focusing on Brisbane's transportation infrastructure.
Responsibilities include overseeing planned after-hours shutdowns, providing on-call coverage for repairing and maintaining mechanical services, and managing automated systems within the infrastructure.
Your role as a Mechanical Services Technician
As a Mechanical Services Technician, you will lead the planned maintenance tasks on over 125 tunnel ventilation fans and essential ventilation and control systems.
This role involves working closely with the project engineer to identify failures and implement evidence-based solutions for asset maintenance.
The successful candidate will join an established team, completing the required work to ensure the continuous operation of this critical infrastructure.
This position offers opportunities to gain experience new skills across various disciplines, contributing to the maintenance and operational excellence of the Brisbane Busways.

Your Experience
Work Experience
• Extensive knowledge of ventilation fans and motors.
• Experience in maintenance and repairs within various settings.
• Experience in industrial automation or process control plants desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of a multi-disciplined construction, maintenance environment.
• Experience overseeing on-site works and interacting with sub-contractors.
Qualifications
• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration UEE32211 or
• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade MEM30205.
• QBCC Mechanical services—air-conditioning and refrigeration occupational License.
• QBCC Mechanical services – Nominee Supervisor (optional).
