Executive General Manager People and CultureBASScare is a NFP organisation that takes great pride in our aged care and disability services in Melbourne's Boroondara and surrounding LGAs.
Are you an Executive People and Culture leader ready to work with an accomplished Executive Team and a great P&C team?
The Role:
Reporting to the CEO you'll lead a small P&C team and work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to further develop the people strategy.
You will drive initiatives that not only shape our workplace culture but also strengthen our people's experience and engagement.
This role focuses on providing strategic and technical advice to leaders and decision makers in relation to IR/ER matters, workers' compensation and compliance.
Your role will also entail providing high-level coaching to equip senior managers for success.
What You'll Do You will have the strategic and operational responsibility for the management of all P&C systems and processesLeverage data and analytics to make informed decisions about P&C initiativesLead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, diversity, and inclusionManage the Leadership Development programWork closely with other senior leaders to ensure alignment between the P&C function and business strategiesUndertake strategic problem-solving and project work within services to establish long-term effective solutionsWork with the Chief Financial Officer and Service Managers to develop the annual budgets (recurrent and capital)Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and deliver high-level coaching and support on effective ways to manage and resolve conflicts, grievances, and complaints in a fair and effective mannerLead and coach a small team of P&C professionalsThrough the P&C Team develop and implement strategies that foster a positive organisational culture and enhance employee engagementAssist the P&C Managers to manage relations and negotiations with Fair Work, unions and employee representative bodies when requiredOversee worker's compensation, workplace injury mitigation strategies and efforts to improve employee wellness, including mental health programs, work-life balance initiatives, and overall employee support systemsOversee the implementation and use of HR technology systems to streamline processes and employee data managementCreate, update, and ensure that people-related policies are consistent and legislatively compliantAbout You
You are an experienced People & Culture/HR General Manager with 10+ years of relevant experience preferably in the health sector.
You have a genuine passion and empathy for people and a depth of experience across all P&C activities.
You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to deliver measurable results.
