We are currently seeking a Psychologist / Accredited Mental Health Social Worker / Counsellor within a employee positions for 2 - 3 days in our Maitland and Cessnock offices, immediate start.

Qualifications & experienceESSENTIALRegistered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency / Psychologist / Australian Association of Social Work / a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation Australia / Level 3 or 4 member of the Australian Counselling Association Medicare registeredHave met CPD requirementsCommitment to providing evidence-based / Psychological therapies such as EMDR, CBT and DBTKnowledge and ResponsibilitiesDisplay initiative and confidence to work independentlyAbility to cope with emotionally demanding situationsHigh level of interpersonal skillsExperience working in clinical counselling roles and work with vulnerable peopleTo provide 1-1 therapy to individuals, couples, and family therapy to improve their psychosocial wellbeing and functioning Provide office based/telehealth and video health support through counsellingProvide a high level of professional evidence based clinical counselling through assessment, intervention and reviewDocument and upload relevant information on client's records Maintain activity records for monitoring and evaluationMaintain professional networks with broader community, partners and other sectorsAdhere to the APS / AASW ethical guidelines / PACFA/ ACAParticipate in the provision of external, and group supervision sessions regularly.Establishment and maintenance of working relationships with co-workers, clients and external agencies.The position holder will be required to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with a broader range of people, and organisations.Working in a person centered approach, psychosocial and other therapeutic prevention strategies Complying with and contributing to the ongoing development of PSC business framework and quality assuranceParticipate in service review and evaluation activities, training and research which lead to service improvementsParticipate in team meetings, training and planning activities, supervision, file auditing, performance management etcParticipate in professional development activities and maintain knowledge and skills required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.Positively represent PSC services to the public, community and other organisations
