Your Day on a Page Keperra Sanctuary is positioned 20 minutes from the Brisbane CBD this location is conveniently within easy access to public transport and shopping precincts.
This contemporary village is defined by its sense of community with friendly residents enjoying retirement living set in a lush tree-filled sanctuary with stunning gardens.
We are seeking an energetic, committed and customer-oriented Maintenance Officer to become an integral part of our team on a permanent full-time basis, with working hours Monday to Friday 7:00AM – 3:00PM.
As a Maintenance Officer, your duties will include:
Managing your workload to ensure maintenance tasks are completed in line with the village preventative maintenance and inspection schedules.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and update databases accordingly.Ability to assess maintenance issues and inform village coordinator when a contractor is required.
Take instructions as directed by Village Coordinator.Perform basic handyperson tasks including minor repairs i.e.
toilet seat & light globe replacement, repair leaking tap hose, change garage remote batteries, empty bins, ensure drain grates are clear of debris, power washing, oiling door hinges, blower vac leaves, pool maintenance etc.Communicate effectively with residents to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.Collaborate with village coordinator and maintenance coordinator officers and external contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.Engage with village management to ensure optimal outcomes for the village.Assist with various adhoc duties where required, as directed by the Village Manager.Adhere to EHS policies and procedures, ensuring safety of all residents, visitors and contractors.Who You Are To be successful in your application, you must have:
Experience in General Maintenance works as handyperson.An Understanding of machinery use and tools required for various repairs.Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise tasks.Proficient in using a mobile phone.
Maintenance requests will be received and sent via a mobile app.Have a customer-focused approach to all tasks, whilst having the ability to develop strong and positive relationships.The ability to take initiative and be pro-active.The ability to work individually and in a team.A current Australian driver's licence.
Experience driving a small bus or light / medium rigid vehicle is an advantage.A current First Aid Certificate/ CPR (or be willing to obtain one).Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate.
