LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT CONTENT CREATOR - applications close 09/01/2025 This is a remote, casual position. Design, develop and deliver engaging and informative content tailored to enhance the skills and knowledge of Hamilton Island Employees.
Your Role Create comprehensive training materials including manuals, presentations, videos and e-learning modulesResearch industry trends, best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure training content remains compliantCollaborate with training specialists and department heads to identify learning needs and establish learning objectivesUtilise instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging and effective learning experiencesOrganise and maintain a centralised repository of training materials, ensuring easy accessibility and version control for all stakeholdersRegularly review and update existing content to reflect changes in policies, procedures, technologies and industry standardsDesign assessment tools and evaluation mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of training programs and gather feedback from participantsAnalyse training metrics and feedback data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future training initiativesAbout You Proven experience (minimum three years) in content creation, curriculum development, and instructional design, preferably within the hospitality industry (Essential)Relevant qualifications in Hospitality Management, Education, Instructional Design, Communications, or a related field (Essential)Relevant certification in instructional design or training development (Desirable)Proficiency in multimedia authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and other e-learning development software eg.
Articulate 360 or similar (Essential)Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Essential)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously (Essential)Passion for learning and staying abreast of emerging trends and innovations in training and development (Essential)Videography and editing experience, including reviewing audio and visual footage (Desirable)About Us Part of the Whitsundays and in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of Australia's most spectacular and sought-after holiday destinations.
