Paralegal - Employment and Construction LawNational Electrical and Communications Association – Chullora NSWABOUT THE COMPANYCTI Lawyers is an incorporated legal practice providing Workplace Relations and Industrial Relations, Construction and Commercial Legal services. Our clients include large and small businesses in the construction industry, with a captive niche in the Electrical and Communications Contracting Industry. The majority of our clients are employers.ABOUT THE ROLELocated in Chullora with on-site parking and cafeteria, this position will provide you with the opportunity to learn and work directly with client files, engage with clients, and work closely with the solicitors from our practice alongside our two current Paralegals.RESPONSIBILITIESConduct legal research;Accompany Solicitors in court and Commission appearances;Correspond with clients;Draft court documents and contract/project documentation;Provide basic advice to members and clients;Manage files;Attend to general office administration and clerical duties.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for an energetic second year or more law student to work as a part-time Paralegal in our legal practice, 2-3 days per week. This role will be a pivotal player in the legal team, contributing to our processes and successes in multiple areas - an incredible opportunity to truly make your mark. You're ambitious, you love seeing results, and you have a drive for the advancement of your own career.ESSENTIAL CRITERIAThe suitable candidate should possess the following skills:Currently undertaking a law degree and in their second year or later;Excellent verbal and written communication;Must have an interest in Industrial Relations and Employment Law and be open to Construction law;Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook;Have completed contract law at university (highly desirable);An understanding of Industrial Relations and Construction law will be viewed favourably.If you believe you are the right person for us, please apply.
