With multiple business entities operating across 100+ locations Australia-wide and now in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, we offer an extensive range of employment services and programs, vocational training, apprenticeships, mentoring, NDIS, disability employment support, specialist schools and allied health services.
The BUSY Group has grown considerably in recent years; therefore, we are seeking to grow our financial team and improve our systems/processes to support our extensive breadth of offerings and locations.
Job Description
About the role...
The purpose of this position is to provide accurate and timely financial management reports and data analysis to the management team and Board in accordance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements.
This role will provide additional skills and experience to support our existing finance team to provide proactive analysis of cost drivers to better understand core profitability of the business and make recommendations to improve financial performance and budgeting across the business.
We are looking for this role to have specific expertise in taxation, including systems to support the analysis and reporting of fringe benefits tax.
This role will also support the scoping and adoption of new processes and technological advancements in the finance functions, therefore we are looking for a professional who embraces change and contributes to a positive team culture.
This full-time opportunity is based at our Head Office in Southport, Gold Coast.

Desired Skills and Experience
About you...
Possession of a qualification as a Certified Practicing Accountant or equivalent Experience with taxation systems, planning and reporting, preferably fringe benefits tax Digital transformation experience - hands-on experience/implementation of complex integrated business systems for medium to large accounting software, including Oracle NetSuite, Workday/Adaptive Active team member, positive demeanour, motivated, supportive of colleagues and organisational/technological change Previous experience in a similar role, including sound knowledge of financial practices to provide accurate and timely financial management reports and data analysis Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and the impact of future changes Experience with Excel and integrations with other reporting systems Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and use of data, problem solving and analysis Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a number of projects simultaneously and to tight deadlines
