The customers' experience is at the heart of the service we offer at MRL Global.The strength of MRL Global is the leadership of the company, the common vision for its staff, and an absolute commitment by all to the highest quality outcomes for our customers.ResponsibilitiesWe require a skilled, motivated, and experienced Operations Manager to join an established company that is making waves on a fixed term 6-month contract with the possibility to move to permanent.
The ideal candidate should show initiative and will be responsible for:Scheduling of TransportLeading daily operations, including driver allocations, order picking, packing, dispatching, and container unpack/packs.Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedulesLoading/Unloading of Trailers (when and as required)Providing efficient Customer service & follow-upMonitoring compliance with statutory, legislative, and licensing requirements including OH&S, Fatigue ManagementMaintaining a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of operationsFacilitating inbound/outbound of local & interstate freight overlooking the overall New South Wales Operations.Coordinate with the team and internal departments to meet delivery requirements and expectations.Complete regular run analyses and manage driver performance.Driving operational change that will continuously improve service levels to customers on delivery of freightManage the daily operational needs of linehaul sub-contractor providersEnsuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality and safety.Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reportsCoordinating activities associated with the arrival, departure, loading, and unloading of Trucks.Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations along with Chain of Responsibility (CoR)Develop KPIs and daily strategies with team members and monitor individual performance.Managing both your time and your resourcesYour ScheduleWorking hours: 7am to 5pm (must be able to be flexible with hours)Location: Eastern Creek NSWFixed term 6-month contract with the possibility to move to permanent.QualificationsMicrosoft Office skills a must; experienced in Word, ExcelComputer skills a must; Windows applications and scanningTransport Industry experience requiredForklift Licence / LF requiredYour application will include the following questions:Do you have customer service experience?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as an operations manager?Do you have experience working with logistics, freight & delivery services?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S / WHS?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Which of the following forklift licences do you have?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?#J-18808-Ljbffr
