The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.LinkedIn Learning aims to close the skills gap and provide economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce through our ever-growing library of content coupled with the rich data and insights that LinkedIn's economic graph offers.
The Principal Solutions Engineer will be a key member of the Go-to-Market team.
They will be the driver of our technical pre-sales strategy, working alongside the existing account teams.
Understanding how the LinkedIn Platform is built, structured, secured and how to integrate solutions into the tool will be integral to this role.ResponsibilitiesDrive LinkedIn Learning and Talent Insights sales and adoption by partnering with Account Directors, Account Executives and Customer SuccessHelp convert pipeline opportunities by providing pre-sales support, product and integration expertiseConduct in-depth discovery and qualification to align with customersDemonstrate value from the Talent and Learning Solutions platformPrepare software demonstrations to showcase specific product capabilities and integrationsLead and assess technically-oriented customer conversationsPartner with post-sales Onboarding and Technical Consultants to ensure an effective launchPartner with cross-functional teams (Product, PMM, Engineering) to ensure that customer and field feedback is addressed and competitive insights are surfacedKeep up to date with market trends in the Learning and Development industry, competitive insights and industry regulatory/compliance requirementsBasic Qualifications2+ years' experience in a pre-sales role6+ years' experience in a customer-facing rolePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related fieldAbility to overcome technical challenges and security objections with customersStrong interpersonal and communication skills as well as attention to detailUnderstanding of Learning Experience Platforms or a background in Learning and DevelopmentExperience with hand-off to Implementation/Onboarding team for technical productsAbility to effectively lead and manage relationships with regional stakeholders internallyFamiliarity with solution architecture, data field mapping and SFTP configurationProven track record of success in a Solutions Engineering roleAbility to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyersExperience driving pre-sales and sales, developing strategies and growing a businessExcellent organization, project management and time management skillsAbility to effectively present to customers and audiencesAbility to influence product and engineeringSuggested SkillsCommunicationProblem solving
