Job DescriptionOur client is an established and successful electrical contractor operating in Brisbane for over 30 years.
Focusing on delivering high quality commercial construction projects to a range of national construction companies, this market leader is renowned for their superior workmanship and commitment to delivering projects on time.
Based in Brisbane's Southern suburbs, this large electrical contractor provides electrical lighting, power and telecommunications services to Tier 1 Builders, delivering a diverse range of technically challenging and exciting construction projects.
The dedicated team pride themselves on their seamless project delivery, providing customers with expert advice and professional customer service.
As the team continues to grow and secure new project opportunities, there is a new position for an Electrical Estimator to join the business.
Electrical EstimatorNew career opportunity for an Electrical Estimator who also enjoys being involved in the design and project delivery phase.
Working closely with the Estimating and Construction Manager, you will bring experience estimating in commercial and multi-level residential construction projects along with a strong technical aptitude.
Day to day responsibilities will include:Scope and design of electrical lighting and power systems for projectsAnalysing project drawings, plans and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimatesAccurate compilation of tender submissions and presentationsReview and understand contract conditions, post contract monitoring and reporting including cost analysis and variationsIdentify creative solutions to client requirements that may involve a degree of competitive differentiation and innovationAttend site inspections, actively participate in meetings, build and maintain strong relationships with company clients, industry suppliers and subcontractorsConfidently negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on prices and variation ordersBenefitsTo attract top industry talent, the company offers a positive and enjoyable working environment to their staff, accompanied by a generous remuneration package reflective of your skills and experience.

You will also bring the following relevant skills and qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in Electrical EstimatingAbility to build and maintain long-term client relationshipsStrong technical knowledge and capabilitiesStrong understanding and working knowledge of electrical industry and safety standardsStrong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels, maintaining strong relationshipsBring your experience and passion for the electrical industry
