We would love to hear about your aspirations and support needs.We are currently seeking Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinary Nurses to join our dedicated teams at Moorabbin, Mount Waverley or Frankston.
Opportunity to work across two or all three locations, or just whichever one is the closest to homeAs an ECC Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch emergency and critical care services to our patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of medical attention and support.Key Responsibilities:Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients under the supervision of our skilled veterinariansMonitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments as requiredAssist with emergency procedures, surgeries, and diagnosticsAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarianMaintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet ownersParticipate in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge in ECC nursingRequirements:Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualificationApplicants currentlystudying their Certificate IV will be consideredProficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anesthesia monitoring advantageousExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situationsA genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their ownersWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating rosterWhat We Offer:Full-time andPart-time opportunities availableOpportunity to work at one, two or three different hospital sitesCompetitive salary based on experience and qualificationsSupportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and developmentAccess to continuing education and training programsWork-life balance with a rotating roster and no on-call shiftsStaff discounts on veterinary services and productsThe chance to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families during times of crisisIf you are a dedicated and compassionate veterinary nurse looking to advance your career in emergency and critical care, we want to hear from youJoin our team at AEC Moorabbin, Mount Waverley, or Frankston and help us provide the highest standard of care to pets in need.
