About the team We approach sustainability through universally recognised ESG frameworks, helping us to unpack and categorise the wide-ranging risks and metrics. The team's vision is to bring an informed approach to supporting our client's response to increasing regulatory and reporting requirements, stakeholder expectations as well as supporting clients to have sustainability principles at their core.
Current opportunity We are looking for an experienced Consultants or Senior Consultants to join our Sustainability team in Brisbane. This role will see you delivering high quality outputs to help our clients meet their sustainability-related objectives. You will handle non-routine problems and situations, at times working independently with minimal guidance or supervision.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to propose and deliver solutions for clients across a full suite of strategic sustainability services, including climate-related advisory services, sustainability strategies, ESG risk and materiality assessment, and sustainability reporting services.
Key Relationships: Partner – Sustainability National Sustainability team Brisbane Advisory staff Clients Business Development team What you'll be doing Executing sustainability services, which may include climate and sustainability related risk analysis, scenario analysis modelling, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories, strategy development, materiality assessment, and sustainability reporting Creating and supporting growth opportunities through the active development of market facing material and stakeholder networks, and leveraging existing client relationships Developing and maintaining tools to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis Preparing written reports of a high quality and standard, working to budgets and timelines Facilitating solution development workshops with various stakeholders Participating in engagement with Client Boards, Senior Management and staff to ensure objectives are met and risks are mitigated. What you'll need to succeed This is a client-facing consulting role utilising your ESG/sustainability expertise gained within a professional services or consulting firm. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service outcomes for all clients. Working knowledge of the regulatory and commercial sustainability landscape and applied experience in delivering solutions for clients in response to ESG challenges would be highly regarded Climate risk assessment and disclosure experience, including knowledge of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) Framework Knowledge of national and global sustainability reporting environment that embraces Australian Sustainability Reporting Standard, GHG Protocol, SBTi, UNSDG, SASB, and GRI An understanding of national climate related policies and the NGER, Safeguard Mechanism, and Emissions Reduction Fund legislation Demonstrable practical experience in strategic analysis, quantitative analysis or project management, applied in relation to sustainability and climate change desirable High attention to detail with strong analytical and research skills The confidence and ability to work with a high degree of autonomy Ability to challenge clients thoughtfully, while developing relationships to support their ESG aspirations.
