We are looking for a Director of Finance with public markets/investor relations experience to join our team.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, welcome responsibility, enjoys detailed analysis, takes initiative and is meticulous with attention to detail.
Your responsibilities will be broad and entrepreneurial covering all aspects of financial planning and reporting.
You'll immerse yourself in the operational nitty-gritty of our team, collaborating across all business divisions, and playing an integral role within the compliance functions of the group.
Beyond internal dynamics, you'll also interface with external stakeholders through investor relations and other strategic group activities.

You are likely to have worked in one of the top 4 accounting firms or a tier one corporate advisory firm and already made your move to a corporate role, preferably with a mid sized ASX company.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare, interpret and present financial reports, budgets and accountsConduct strategic analysis and planningUndertake research into pricing, competitors and factors impacting performance and perform financial analysis of long term business plansDevelop and manage financial systems and modelsConduct risk assessments and business modeling for new initiativesDrive cost-efficiencies by analysing pricing structures and recommending strategiesDrive automation of reporting processes within the finance teamSupport the CFO in ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingLiaise with management and other key business stakeholdersManage external audit process across numerous jurisdictionsLead finance related special projectsCoordinate investor relations efforts, participate in investor meetings, respond to inquiries, and provide timely and accurate information to investors and analystsHandle ASX and other regulatory reportingReview and provide commercially focused feedback on legal agreementsSupport legal and compliance functions to ensure financial compliance with regulations and company policiesRequirements: A background in big 4 accounting or a tier one corporate advisory firm, currently working in a mid-sized ASX companyBachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalentExperience with public markets and investor relations is requiredExperience with international transactions is advantageousInterest and preferably experience in online marketplaces and/or fintechStrong research skills and the ability to create workable implementation plansInnovative problem-solving abilitiesHighly proficient excel and modeling skillsExcellent communications and numerical skillsA focus on quality and attention to detailStrong project management skillsHigh energy levels and a can-do attitudeProficiency in reviewing and interpreting legal contractsA solid professional network with the ability to leverage it for company benefitStrong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlinesBased in Sydney, the position will report into the CFO and will work closely with senior staff across all disciplines of the business.
