The opportunityThe Boeing MQ28 - Ghost Bat - is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities.
Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to support the design, development integration and test of new capabilities within the MQ-28 Ghost Bat.
The role is based in Brisbane.
As a Hardware Systems Engineer you will:Develop and review requirements for the MQ-28 Mission System (DOORS experience).Develop engineering solutions for integrated avionics and COTS/MOTS equipment.Conduct testing and validation of hardware components to ensure compliance with industry standards.Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts for hardware-related issues.Develop verification requirements, test plans, procedures and reports.Develop engineering documentation (Specifications, Design Documents, Interface Definitions, Test Procedures etc.
).To be considered for the role you will have:Minimum of 3 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projectsHold Tertiary qualifications in either Aerospace, Avionics, or Mechatronics, that satisfies the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent technical experience in a Systems Engineering discipline.Experience with hardware design (e.g.
EMI and Environmental) standards (desirable).Experience with aircraft avionics and UAV systems (desirable).Familiarity with engineering change processes.Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (highly regarded)Experience with Autonomous Systems projects (highly regarded)Experience with aerospace and / or Defence projects (highly regarded).Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.You may require a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) in order to perform this role.
