Your Role:
Our mission is to create exceptional guest experiences in an environment of innovation, sustainability, and excellence. As Facilities Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel's engineering operations, including maintenance, safety, and sustainability. Leading a skilled team, you will ensure that our facilities operate seamlessly, providing an experience for our guests unlike any other.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee maintenance and repair operations, ensuring facilities meet top-quality standards.
Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and internal policies to maintain a secure environment.
Work with external contractors to simplify the warranties process (defect liability period).
Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team to achieve their full potential.
Lead the Emergency Response Team in preparing for crises such as fire, power outages, and other incidents.
Address maintenance needs promptly to enhance guest satisfaction and experience.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely responses to guest requests.
Champion green initiatives, reducing the hotel's carbon footprint through innovative practices.
Foster team involvement in local community activities and organisations.
Who We Are Looking For:
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Facilities Manager, ideally in a hotel setting.
Tertiary qualifications in Building or Engineering, or equivalent on-the-job training.
Strong knowledge of engineering operations, including maintenance programs, sustainability practices, and safety standards.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
A proactive problem solver with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences.
