Junior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer (6 month Secondment)Provide expertise and experience in IT infrastructure and Azure Cloud to support the IT Strategy.
About the roleThis role is a 6 month secondment.
You will provide expertise and experience in IT infrastructure and Azure Cloud to support the IT Strategy for SA's future business needs and processes.
The role assists in Azure cloud services, system installations, security, as well as monitoring and maintaining the organisation's IT servers and evaluating cloud technology, new server hardware and software.
What you'll doAssist with the build, design, deploy and maintenance of Microsoft Azure Cloud solutionsHelp implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoptionAssist in projects around further software defined services and offeringsDevelop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement toolsAssist in the design, build and monitor the performance and availability of all IT infrastructure and Cloud based solutions to optimise efficiencies and securityMaintain the security and integrity of the networkContribute to the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measuresHelp in investigations and determine business requirementsManagement of performance, support, monitoring, and maintenance of all existing Technology Infrastructure; Servers, Systems, Networking and ApplicationsResolve escalated support issuesSupport application development teams throughout project lifecyclesLiaise with vendors and consultantsMaintain up-to date documentationManage risk management and Change controlManagement of the internal and external Data Centre infrastructureConduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development effortsProvide guidance to the IT Service Desk team, including but not limited to the transfer of day-to-day IT infrastructure knowledge to the teamSome afterhours and weekend work including monitoring is requiredAbout you3+ years of relevant IT experience1+ years working with cloud platformsKnowledge of DevOps and Agile is highly regarded3+ years of experience as a systems administrator in a client or server environment, including deployment automation toolsCertifications on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, including Solutions Architect, Developer or Google CloudRelevant bachelors or master's degree or relevant industry experienceITIL foundations or HigherDemonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skillsSelf-motivated with an ability to work with minimal directionAbility to work in a complex and dynamic environmentStrong team playerCulture & BenefitsStandards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
