The maritime shipping industry has begun adoption of green methanol as a fuel to hit net zero targets.
But, like all hard-to-abate sectors, high costs are derailing the path to decarbonisation.
We don't wait, and nor should you.
Inspired by the extraordinary speed and selectivity of natural proteins, our breakthrough process more than halves production costs and doesn't need costly hydrogen.
The modular technology is like a solar panel, but it makes methanol, not electricity.
Backed by Virescent Ventures, we are a startup building a team of scientists, engineers and problem solvers to get green methanol back on track.
We are looking for you to help build the prototype and supply chains with a goal to progress to pilot demonstration before the end of 2025.
The roleWe are seeking a co-founder to join our Brisbane-based team to execute the business strategy.
You will have a hand in all aspects of the business from prototype and pilot development, through to strategic leadership, securing partnerships, team building and capital raise activities.
As a part of the founding team, you will be involved in, or supervise, prototype research & development, leading into pilot demonstration detailed engineering design.
You will manage engineering documentation and coordinate with contractors on site.
This will also encompass managing relationships with investors, project partners such as feedstock supply locations, securing off-take agreements, and broader industry engagement.
You will be responsible for maintaining the plant and safe operation, and plan our test campaigns to coordinate next steps in project development.

Held senior roles managing projects, teams, strategy and/or partnerships Been involved in fundraising Expertise in developing products and scaling technologies Understanding of resource recovery, hydrogen, methanol and/or marine shipping sectors A BEng (or equivalent) and RPEQ certification in chemical/process engineering Prior startup experience Don't check all the boxes?
