In return, you'll be supported to bring your own ideas to the table and challenge conventions – with the aim of making life a little brighter, simpler, and better for our customers and each other.As a Platform Engineer, you have superior knowledge and high effectiveness in engineering complex system and platform implementations in the Cloud, identifying and developing automation opportunities, and applying automated build/delivery and continuous integration practices in complex environments. As Platform Engineer you have a bias to action and apply your knowledge to engineer scalable, resilient, and future-proof platforms.What you'll doDrive forward the delivery, engineering decisions and platform solution to align to the long term strategic architectural visionEnsure that platforms, systems and services are engineered to facilitate the achievement of service objectives, including resiliency and scalability.Lead large scale implementation of platform and services from inception through to production, maintaining quality documentation and procedures for the ongoing support of the platformShare knowledge and pair with the fellow engineers in your team to maximise the team's skills and capabilitiesKeeps things simple while driving innovation to achieve differentiation, continuous improvement and supporting teams to adapt quickly and readily to changeBuild and maintain constructive working relationships and engagement with Team Members, Stakeholders, and Leaders across the Group, Strategic Delivery Partners and VendorWhat you'll bringTertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information TechnologyAWS Associate or Professional Certification highly desirable5 years appropriate industry experience in large enterprise organisationExcellent knowledge/experience in the application of Agile and Lean approachesDeep experience working with Cloud based services (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)Strong scripting – Must be very familiar with PythonDemonstrated experience of understanding security & governance challenges involved in deploying to Cloud environmentsWhat we can offerA range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leaveDiscounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as banking and insurance productsGive back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leaveInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; andPrioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council
