Fund Accounting Manager

MARS Recruitment is partnering with an established property investment company to recruit an experienced Fund Accounting Manager. In this key role, you will oversee fund accounting, ensuring statutory compliance and contributing to overall financial performance. Key responsibilities include managing and reporting on multiple property and investment funds, preparing accurate group financial reports (including cash flow and profit and loss statements), and producing consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group. Additionally, you will be responsible for tax compliance and reporting.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the fund sector, with excellent technical accounting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.Responsibilities:Reviewing and approving monthly NAV packages prepared by the fund administratorOverseeing and managing general ledger reconciliationsAnalysing and approving monthly unit price calculationsReviewing and approving quarterly BAS returnsReviewing and approving weekly payment schedulesReviewing annual financial statementsLeading the annual audit processCoordinating with external service providers, including fund administrators, external trustees, tax advisers, auditors, and legal advisersPreparing and submitting BAS, PAYG, FBT, and GST returnsEnsuring compliance with accounting standards (AASB) and other statutory obligationsCriteria:8+ years of experience in fund accounting or property investment managementCA/CPA/ACCA qualifiedExperience in financial reporting for investment funds, trusts, and group entitiesPrior experience with property accounting software (MRI)Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or CommerceStrong technical accounting expertiseExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilitiesEnergetic, perceptive, and self-motivatedAdditional Information:Part-time (3 days per week)Hybrid work modelOnly Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this timeIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly to the role with your resume and a cover letter in Word format detailing your relevant experience.
