Fund Accounting Manager | Part-Time

MARS Recruitment is partnering with an established property investment company to recruit an experienced Fund Accounting Manager.
In this key role, you will oversee fund accounting, ensuring statutory compliance and contributing to overall financial performance.
Key responsibilities include managing and reporting on multiple property and investment funds, preparing accurate group financial reports (including cash flow and profit and loss statements), and producing consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group.
Additionally, you will be responsible for tax compliance and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the fund sector, with excellent technical accounting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Responsibilities: Reviewing and approving monthly NAV packages prepared by the fund administrator Overseeing and managing general ledger reconciliations Analysing and approving monthly unit price calculations Reviewing and approving quarterly BAS returns Reviewing and approving weekly payment schedules Reviewing annual financial statements Leading the annual audit process Coordinating with external service providers, including fund administrators, external trustees, tax advisers, auditors, and legal advisers Prepare and submit BAS, PAYG, FBT, and GST returns.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (AASB) and other statutory obligations.
Criteria: 8+ years of experience in fund accounting or property investment management CA/CPA/ACCA qualified Experience in financial reporting for investment funds, trusts, and group entities Prior experience with property accounting software (MRI) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce Strong technical accounting expertise Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities Energetic, perceptive, and self-motivated Note: Part-time (3 days per week) Hybrid work model Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly to the role with your resume and a cover letter in Word format detailing your relevant experience.
