The Opportunity We are seeking experienced Field Maintenance Leading Hands to take on a range of maintenance activities and supervision at Pembroke Resource's new project in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-East of Moranbah which commenced mining operations in mid-2023.
Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning, overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.
About The Role Working a 7/7 day/night shift roster.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include: Leadership of skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors' and Superintendents' directives Fulfil the Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel Source and requisition parts and/or equipment requirements through the appropriate manuals or publications using the correct ordering procedure Verify the implementation of solutions and/or control further non-conforming machinery until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected About you Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent Current Standard 11 Current S123 & RIIRIS402 EG2 Proven mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams You will also need to always possess high regard and practice health and safety What Thiess can do for you Even time (7/7) Roster, 12.0hr Days FIFO offered from Brisbane to Moranbah BIBO from Mackay & Moranbah Permanent full-time positions Thiess' commitment to ongoing training & development as part of delivering a modern autonomous mine Health & well-being rewards program through AIA Vitality Salary sacrifice options – flights and novated leasing Individual flexibility arrangements on offer - (Live Local, FIFO, BIBO or DIDO) Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products About us Thiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.
