A place to make a difference: In this full-time, permanent role, you'll focus on provision of a range of specialist interventions to children and young people who have witnessed or have been victims of domestic and/or family violence and sexual abuse. Based in Mount Isa, you'll be a key part of our Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Service.
You will make a difference by:
Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationshipsIdentifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing client progressPromoting skills which increase health, safety and developmentEnsuring the voices of children and young people are heardEnhancing stakeholder relationships and partnerships with the view of providing clients with support that will help them to address their needsWorking collaboratively within a small team to deliver best practice to women and children who are experiencing DFVA place to feel valued: You're an experienced child and adolescent practitioner who is passionate about supporting families within a child centred, strengths-based framework. Importantly, you have a strong understanding of the impact of trauma on children and their families and you're keenly aware of the additional impacts and barriers experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislationKnowledge and previous experience working in the Domestic and Family Violence or closely related human services contextDemonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and familiesStrong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collection and analysisTertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar serviceA place to belong: 54 reasons is proudly part of Save the Children Australia.
