The Role – Sports and Recreation Team Junior Engineer.
With an expanding portfolio within the Sports & Recreation sector, we are seeking a driven junior Engineer to join our team with an interested in developing their appreciation for engineering under industry leading tutelage.
This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of projects nationally, principally in the Sport & Recreation sector.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop client facing role skills for the delivery of
key projects.
The Sports & Recreation division is delivered under a national approach; therefore, we are considering candidates from Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane for this role.
You'll experience career development within a robust learning culture, fostering professional and technical growth.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in one of the above offices.
In this role, under the guidance of the Sport & Recreation Leadership team, you will be tasked with:
Undertake detailed analysis of various structural designs including stadia, aquatic structures, building structures and supporting sport & recreation infrastructure
Work collaboratively within project teams, including Architects, Services Engineers, Contractors and other key stakeholders.
Attend site during construction phase services.
Perform investigative inspections and report writing.
Utilise various software packages for various forms of analysis.
Develop a multi-faceted engineering knowledge including Structural, Civil, Hydraulic and Chemical
Review and interpret project inputs, such as architectural and services documentation, surveys, and other client inputs.
Meet project timeframes and budgets.
Develop an understanding of project and financial management responsibilities for key projects.
What you will need:
Bachelor (or Master) of Engineering degree in Civil/Structural with an appreciation of structural engineering principals for aquatic and/or sport and recreation facilities, or;
0-2 years of experience in civil or structural engineering with an interest in developing a well-rounded skillset.

An appreciation of deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in through cadetship, site experience or internship within a local consulting firm is advantageous.
