Location ProfileEdgars Creek Secondary College is situated in the growth corridor of Wollert, in the geographical area of Whittlesea in Melbourne.
Our college consists of approximately 1308 students and 130 staff, including Principal class, Education Support Staff, Leading Teachers, Learning Specialists, and Classroom teachers.

Selection CriteriaSC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
RoleThe classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges - range 1 and range 2.
The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes.
Classroom teachers engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve their practice.
Range 2 classroom teachers will be expected to:
- Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor other teachers.
- Provide expert advice on content and strategies for professional learning.
- Supervise and train student teachers.
- Use student data to inform teaching approaches.
Range 1 classroom teachers focus on developing skills with structured support and guidance.
ResponsibilitiesThe role may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups and individual students;Contributing to the development and evaluation of curriculum programs;Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum areas.
