About the role
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Coach is responsible for providing flexible, intensive recovery-based support to young people who are experiencing mental health challenges.
This is achieved by working collaboratively with families, clinical supports, and other internal and external service providers to ensure a holistic approach based on recovery principles and trauma-informed practice.
Staff will be required to work rostered shifts between 8am and 7pm, including some weekend work between 9 am and 5pm.
Provide recovery-oriented services to young people (particularly those of a more complex nature) Provide group and individual support to young people with regards to independent living skills, recreation and social/community skills.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including family and carers, clinical and community supports (mental health, AOD, housing etc) Participate in the co-design, facilitation and evaluation of a range of group activities.

Demonstrated experience in group facilitation.
All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-employment declaration form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses).
Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement or within 12 weeks of commencement.
This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
